February Double Page Sketch from Stick It Down

Why hello February! You snuck up on me! Good thing Lauren Mullarkey, from Stick It Down, was ready with our sketch for the month ahead of time! Here it is—isn’t it charming?!

Here’s my take on the sketch! I chose to use this sketch to document my daughter’s 1st birthday party. I loved this cake cut file from Paige Evans and thought it fit into this sketch perfectly!

I just love these photos because she has grown up so much and looks so different now! That’s the fun of scrapbooking, documenting memories forever! 🙂

Thank you so much for swinging by my blog and taking a peek at my layout! Have a wonderful February!

January Single Page Sketch Challenge

Soooo it’s a new year — and I’m on a new design team! Whoooo! I decided last fall that. I would like to try my hand at designing single page layouts again, so I jumped on Stick It Down’s single page team in addition to being on the double page team—let’s hope I can keep up!

Scrapbooking is one of those hobbies that’s just for me. It’s my selfish “me time” where I get to hide in my basement and play around with photos and pretty paper — and I don’t feel bad about it at all! Hah!

To kick off my year of single page fun, let me show you the sketch that Laura Rumble designed:

This sketch has so much potential and I love that it contains multiple photos! Here’s what I ended up designing with it.

My brother and sis-in-law graduated with their Ph.D’s this past summer! YAY! I had to make sure to document such a huge milestone and remind ourselves why we weren’t there cheering them on in person—thanks COVID limitations…..lame! At least we got to watch them celebrate online.

Thanks for swinging by and looking at my layouts! Have a fantastic rest of your day!

January Double Page Sketch from Stick It Down

2023 is here! I believe it will be a great year full of blessing for you and your family.

Here is our first double-page sketch from Stick It Down to get you going!

I chose to use this sketch to document a fun Christmas baking day from last year! I had some great helpers and we had a tremendous amount of FUN!

I found this fun Christmas-baking-themed paper from Simple Stories and it worked absolutely perfectly with these photos. I hope to get a few more layouts out of the packet!

Thanks for swinging by and looking at my latest creation! I hope you have a blessed January!

December Challenge:

Happy Holidays! I’m back today showing you a fun layout that I whipped up using Rochelle Spears’ sketch challenge! Take a look at her sketch:

I loved all the paper piecing this layout included. So fun! Here’s what I came up with!

I made this little onsie for my daughter because we are HUGE fans of the movie “Lampoons Christmas Vacation” We even found a little “Uncle Eddy” hat for her to wear. I just had to scrapbook this because I want to make sure that I always remember it! It’s the little things!

I pray you have a wonderful Christmas with your family!

December Double Page Sketch Challenge

“It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas—Everywhere you go…”

Yes Christmastime is here! The best time of the year AND the best time of the year to play along with a fun sketch challenge from Stick It Down! Our doubles designer, Lauren, cooked up a good one for us this month:

I loved that it had a fun circle to play around with! I’ve been trying to be better about stash busting, so I found this old circle paper and knew it would be perfect to add some pizzaz to this layout! I also grabbed some of my old Basic Grey paper (25th & Pine and Evergreen collections) and used it to finish off the simple but fun layout.

Here’s some of my family celebrating Christmas 2021!

I hope you get time during this busy month to play along with our fun challenge!

Thanks for swinging by my blog!

November Single Page Challenges

Gratitude. Thankfulness. Gratefulness. All the appreciation words are coming to my mind today–especially when I’m scrapbooking layouts about my family! Like this one!

I try to play along with Rochelle and Stacy’s fun blog challenges each month–plus I love the inspiration that their blogs cultivate 😉

Here’s the sketch Rochelle provided:

Here’s the Tic Tac Toe board that Stacy added and I used the middle column (Mixed Alpha Title, Square and Flowers).

And here’s the layout I designed based off of the sketch and Tic Tac Toe board!

Thanks for taking the time to swing by my blog and take a look at my creation! I love scrapbooking and hope my layout inspires you too!

November Double Page Sketch Challenge from Stick It Down

Wow! Here we are in November already! Thanksgiving is right around the corner!

Because Thanksgiving is almost here, I bet you’ve had some family memories come to mind. Here’s a great sketch from Stick It Down to document some of those memories!

I decided to use some photos from our family’s reunion last summer for this challenge!

Here’s what I came up with:

Kind of a fun page right?! I had a leftover flowery cut file from another project and thought it would be the perfect addition to this layout! I used Echo Park’s “Hello Again” line for all the paper and embellishments!

Thanks for swinging by my blog and taking a peek! I’d love to hear your thoughts and comments!

October FUN!

Ok. I think I’ve decided fall scrapbooking is my absolute favorite. I seriously can’t think of a topic or season I like to document more….and I have definitely done my fair share of scrapping Fall 2021 this month (I’m always a year or more behind!).

Here’s what I’ve been working on:

All of these layouts were created using Simple Stories’ Cozy Days collection. I fell in love last year when I saw this collection and knew that it would be perfect for these photos! So I’ve waited a year to use it, but it was so worth it!

Also, Paige Evans has the BEST cut files, so all those cut files and stitching files in my layouts—yep credit belongs to her.

Thanks for swinging by my blog and checking out my designs. I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comment section below! Hope you get to document some fun fall layouts yourself!

October Fun Challenges!

Hello again! Just wanted to pop on and share a few other pages that I’ve been working on this month! I love fall so much and so of course I wanted to scrapbook some fall-related themes.

Rochelle Spears and Stacy had great challenges up on their blogs. So I took Rochelle’s sketch and Stacy’s bingo board (ink splatters, plaid and tabs) and combined them for a cute layout. Here is Rochelle’s sketch and Stacy’s Bingo Board, in case you want to play along:

Here’s what I came up with! I love scrapbooking my little girl!

I used Simple Stories’ Cozy Days line and a cut file from Paige Evans to complete the layout. Love that this memory is no preserved forever! 🙂

I also played around with some ink and a cut file on another fall themed layout! This one isn’t a part of any challenge, but I figured you might like to see it anyway!

I love the movement that the stitching gave the page. Hopefully, it looks like the leaves are falling down!

Again, this was from Simple Stories’ line “Cozy Day” and the cut file from Paige Evans.

Thanks again for swinging by my little spot in the universe! I hope you get to scrapbook and be creative today!

October Double Page Sketch from Stick It Down

Happy beautiful October friends! How many Pumpkin Spice Lattes have you consumed already? Me….I lost count 😉 Mhhhmmm…fall flavors are the best.

Today I get to reveal a new sketch and page to you lovely friends of Stick IT Down:

Very fall themed sketch isn’t it? It’s a fun one! Here’s what I ended up doing with it:

I’ve been diligently trying to scrapbook our family reunion from last summer. As fun as these pictures are, they are wearing on me a little because I have so many other projects I want to get to (like my Hawaii photos!!!). One page at a time though!

I hope you get to join us for this challenge and that you get another layout finished up too! Time in my scrapbook cave (with a pumpkin spice latte in hand!) is my happy place during the month of October!
