May Double Page Sketch from Stick It Down

May is always a breath of fresh air! We can finally put winter officially behind us and enjoy all the blooming flowers, graduation parties and sunshine! To start May off right, I have a double-page sketch for you!

Currently, I’m working on scrapbooking my 2022 trip to Hawaii and all the adventures we had! One of our favorite adventures included visiting Volcanoes National Park and seeing a volcano’s active lava flow! If you’re curious about my trip you can read more about it HERE! I love to travel and I try to post detailed notes so other travelers can use my guides for their own trips! Mahalo!

I hope you decide to play along with our challenge at Stick It Down this month! Double-page sketches are always a great way to use up many photos!! Thanks for swinging by!

Hawaii Scrapbook Layouts:

If you’re in need of some Hawaii-themed scrapbook inspiration, look no further! I have MANY layouts showcasing a recent trip I took with my family to Hawaii and I figured I would post a gallery combining all of the layouts I’ve finished. Then they’re all in one place for me to look at too! 😉

April Double Page Sketch from Stick It Down

Here we are starting April, thinking all things SPRING! Yippee! To start off our month, let’s take a look at our double page sketch from Stick It Down:

I’m working on scrapbooking some of my photos from our visit to Hawaii in 2022, so I used this sketch to document our parasailing adventure! If your curious about our trip to Hawaii, click here to read all about it!

Parasailing was absolutely amazing and I would do it again in a heartbeat! We were incredibly fortunate to see a momma whale and her calf swimming below us, while we were in the air. Then, once we got back to the boat, we saw them breach the water’s surface together. It was amazing!

Thanks for swinging by my blog and reading about it!

April Single Page Sketch from Stick It Down

I’m back with another fun page to showcase today! Here’s Stick It Down’s Single Page Sketch for the month:

Today I’m scrapping some fall related photos so my page does feel a little more fall-ish (even though I’m very ready for spring!). I modified the sketch from 3 photos to 2–and moved the title to the top. Seemed to fit better there! This is my daughter and her Oma and Opa! They are so sweet to her and love her so much!

Thanks so much for swinging by my blog! I hope you get to play in our challenge this month!

March Single Page Sketch from Stick It Down

Here we are, well into the third month of 2023! I’m excited to get some scrapbooking done this month while watching NCAA college basketball’s “March Madness”! As a basketball fan, it’s a very fun time of year!

But it’s always a great time of year to be scrapbooking and Brandi from Stick It Down created a fabulous sketch for us to follow this month:

I was especially inspired by the diamond-shaped background, so I used some 3×3 squares of patterned paper, folded the tips in towards the center, and created my own diamond shapes. I absolutely love how it turned out! Some ink, embellishments, and a bit of faux stitching finished it off!

This page is documenting some of the wonderful food that we enjoyed while in Hawaii! Smoothies, pineapples, fish, shrimp, and a stop at Ken’s House of Pancakes were some of our favorites! If you’re curious about our trip to Hawaii, I have lots of photos and info that you can check out here!

As always, thanks for swinging by to look at my scrapbooking! 🙂

March Double Page Layout from Stick It Down

Snow. Snow. Go Away. Come Again Another Day.

It’s tough to love snow in March, here in Minnesota, but at least the days are getting longer and the sun is shining brighter! Bring on spring!

To ease us into the month we have a fun sketch from our designer at Stick It Down, Lauren!

I feel like I’m never scrapbooking the same season that we’re experiencing haha! So here’s a layout from Christmas of 2021! I loved having our family back together after COVID. We got to share laughs, good food, fun memories and watch our two little sweethearts tear open presents with joy!

I used Vicki Boutin’s “Warm Wishes” collection to finish this layout. I loved the mixed media feel that her papers have! Such a fun collection!

I hope you get a chance to play along with our sketch challenge this month! Happy Scrapbooking!

February Single Page Sketch from Stick It Down

It’s time to show you our single page sketch! I like to mix it up and do both double and single page layouts!

Here’s our sketch that we’re following for this month:

I’m working on some Christmas layouts from 2021, so the second I saw this huge circle, I instantly thought of Christmas Cookies! My grandma, mom, daughter, and I had a really fun baking day that year! I fell in love with Simple Stories “Baking Spirits Bright” paper line, so this layout contains all sorts of goodies from them!

Thanks for swinging by my blog today! I hope you get a chance to join us at Stick It Down this month!

February Scrapbook Challenges:

I love getting a chance to spread my crafty wings and try out a few scrapbook challenges from various blogs. One of my favorite blogs to peruse is Rochelle Spears’ because she does amazing work and always has great sketches to follow. Check out her blog here!

Here’s what I came up with:

I also had time to play with Scrap Our Stash’s sketch challenge and I love how this adorable layout turned out! Both of these layouts were created with Paige Evans’ “Wonders” Collection.

Thanks so much for taking the time to swing over to my blog! If your are curious about my trip to Hawaii click here to read more about our time soaking up the sunshine! I love hearing your comments so be sure to leave me a message below! Have a fantastic day!

February Double Page Sketch from Stick It Down

Why hello February! You snuck up on me! Good thing Lauren Mullarkey, from Stick It Down, was ready with our sketch for the month ahead of time! Here it is—isn’t it charming?!

Here’s my take on the sketch! I chose to use this sketch to document my daughter’s 1st birthday party. I loved this cake cut file from Paige Evans and thought it fit into this sketch perfectly!

I just love these photos because she has grown up so much and looks so different now! That’s the fun of scrapbooking, documenting memories forever! 🙂

Thank you so much for swinging by my blog and taking a peek at my layout! Have a wonderful February!

January Single Page Sketch Challenge

Soooo it’s a new year — and I’m on a new design team! Whoooo! I decided last fall that. I would like to try my hand at designing single page layouts again, so I jumped on Stick It Down’s single page team in addition to being on the double page team—let’s hope I can keep up!

Scrapbooking is one of those hobbies that’s just for me. It’s my selfish “me time” where I get to hide in my basement and play around with photos and pretty paper — and I don’t feel bad about it at all! Hah!

To kick off my year of single page fun, let me show you the sketch that Laura Rumble designed:

This sketch has so much potential and I love that it contains multiple photos! Here’s what I ended up designing with it.

My brother and sis-in-law graduated with their Ph.D’s this past summer! YAY! I had to make sure to document such a huge milestone and remind ourselves why we weren’t there cheering them on in person—thanks COVID limitations…..lame! At least we got to watch them celebrate online.

Thanks for swinging by and looking at my layouts! Have a fantastic rest of your day!
