Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you’re getting excited for a fun family gathering like I am!
This month I was mailed an adorable line from Simple Stories called “Pumpkins & Plaid.” I love just about everything Simple Stories comes out with — this was no exception!
The papers and florals included in this collection gave me all sorts of cozy sweater vibes. I love spending time reading in front of my fireplace with a hot cup of coffee during the fall — or of course scrapbooking! So, here we go! It’s crafting time!
To start, I knew that I wanted to cut out all the little leaves on the “Collecting Leaves” paper. That paper triggered some memories of an elementary school craft project that I once made. We had circles to represent the turkey’s body and then found leaves outside to create his feathers. I thought it would be cute to try and replicate that with these cute cut out leaves!
I used a cut file to create the turkey’s body and then layered leaves behind him. I added in a few family photos from that special day and voila! Layout finished!
Thanks for peeking at my work! I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with your family!
