Wow! October really flew by! Ready or not, welcome to November!
Here’s our new sketch challenge for the month of November from Stick It Down:
Here’s what I created based off the sketch:
I loved our time spent in Zagreb, Croatia last summer and I wanted to use some fun bright colors for this layout! Hopefully, we can go back to Croatia soon and explore the coastal parts!
If your curious about my trip through Europe, click here! I love chatting about traveling and scrapbooking my adventures too! Traveling makes our lives so much richer doesn’t it?
Thanks so much for swinging by my website! I hope you have a wonderful day!
I’ve had a few extra days to scrap since I’m quarantining at home awaiting Baby Roisland’s arrival! There have been some really fun challenge’s that have caught my eye, so I figured I’d play along with a few!
First off I’m entering this layout in Rochelle Spears’ challenge and Scrap with Stacy’s challenge (along with the Bonus Friends challenge!). You can view Rochelle’s sketch challenge here and Stacy’s challenge here. I followed Rochelle’s sketch and used GOLD (part of my pink paper had gold lines in it and the polaroid camera is gold), HEARTS, and created an EMBELLISHMENT CLUSTER (the 2020 part in the top left corner) to complete Stacy’s criteria.
Here’s what I came up with:
Secondly, I loved The ScrapRoom’s sketch and figured I’d use it to highlight some cross-country skiing photos from last winter. I no longer have Facebook to post it in their challenge album (needed a mental health break from it!) so I figured I’d just post it here for fun! 🙂
Thanks so much for the fun challenges, ladies! And thanks to YOU for swinging by my blog this month!
Welcome to October! A glorious month filled with pumpkin spice chai latte’s and all things fall. I’m so excited for this month too because we will be welcoming our new beautiful little blessing by the end of the month! I can’t wait to meet him or her!
Alright onto the fun from Stick It Down! Here’s our latest sketch for the month:
I’m still working on scrapbooking my Europe trip from last summer, so this layout is capturing the beautiful palace, Schonbrunn, just outside of Vienna, Austria. The palace and ground were absolutely stunning and I can see why it’s known as Vienna’s jewel.
I again decided to use my FUSE tool in order to layer more pictures to remember this beautiful place.
If you are unfamiliar with what a FUSE tool does, check out my video here:
If you are interested in seeing more of my scrapbooking, you can visit my Scrapbook.com gallery or click “Scrapbooking” at the top.
Thank you so much for swinging by my blog this month! We would love to have you join us in Stick It Down’s double page challenge too! Time for another pumpkin spice chai!
Ahhh….my soul feels refreshed when I’m able to carve out a full day to devote to scrapbooking. I once heard someone say, “if you’re a creative soul and you’re not able to be creative…you will be miserable.” So true!
Anyway, I came across Rochelle’s sketch challengefor the month and thought I would give it a shot. Here’s what the sketch looks like in case you want to play along too!
Here’s how my page turned out:
This page is the last page in my Europe album and I’m thrilled to finally be finished scrapbooking this trip! YAY! It only took me a year haha! But I know that it’s something I’ll treasure for years to come.
Now onto my other normal projects! Thanks for swinging by my blog! 🙂
Welcome to the beginning of another school year! This school year will be a little strange for me because it’s the first one that I won’t be teaching in the last 9 years. I know that I will miss my students and co-workers so much, BUT I’m very excited for the bundle of joy that our family will be adding in October! Enough about me! Let’s get to our challenge this month from Stick It Down!
Doesn’t this one look so FUN?! I loved it and I decided to get creative on this one and use my FUSE and some waterfall pages. Because I have so many pictures from this trip, using my FUSE has allowed me to layer some photos to save time. Check it out:
I apologize that my pictures look glossy, but its due to them being taken inside their page protectors, so here’s a picture of the layer of photos on the bottom.
Ok so here’s an action shot of how my flaps of photos work. I decided which photos I wanted as the top layer, middle layer, bottom layer and then I cut up a page protector to the size of my pictures (6X4) and then used my FUSE to melt the cut up page protector, to the final page protector. If you’re curious about the FUSE and what it can do, check out this video or watch my overview of some pages I’ve created with the FUSE below.
I love the layers that this created for my scrapbook page! It turned out amazing!
If your curious in where all these amazing foods were from, check out my “Globetrotting” page and click on one of the countries that I’ve visited to learn more! Traveling is a HUGE passion of mine and I use the beautiful art of scrapbooking to remember my travels!
That’s all for now! I hope you have a wonderful day!
Our final month of summer is here! We’ve had a beautiful summer here in Minnesota and thankfully my husband and I have had some serious “Lake Time” lately. 🙂
We have a beautiful new sketch to show off this month! I absolutely love being on the double page team at Stick It Down because it motivates me to get more things done!
Check out our sketch this month:
Here’s my take on it!
I apologize for the “glossy” picture but I’ve been using my FUSE tool (which I’m totally in love with by the way!) and because of that I have to take pictures of the page in the page protector, so you get the full effect! Here’s the bottom layer of the page:
So, with my FUSE tool, I added a layer of 4×4 photos and using the Waterfall Photo Sleeves, I fused them to the page protector. If you’re unfamiliar with the FUSE and how it works, check out this video for a product tutorial or watch my video below for an overview of this page.
Hope you liked my page! If you’re interested in learning more about my trip to Budapest, Hungary click on this link! As always, thanks for swinging by my blog!
Welcome to July! YAY for bonfires and fireworks! I’ve always loved celebrating the 4th of July with my family at our lake cabin! I hope you have a great time with yours too!
This month, we have a great multi-photo sketch from Stick It Down that I wanted to share!
I definitely used the flower theme to create my layout about a castle we visited in Slovenia last summer. I decided on a pretty floral cut file to create a focal point for the layout. I’m also loving Paige Evan’s line “Bloom Street” and I added some gorgeous die cut flowers from her new line!
If you’re curious to learn more about our crazy backpacking adventure around Europe, click the “Globetrotting” tab at the top of my website. If you’re interested in learning about our time in the beautiful country of Slovenia, click here!
As always, thanks so much for swinging by my blog!
I’ve been slacking a little bit, but I did get time to participate in this one challenge from Rochelle Spears and Scrap with Stacy! Rochelle had a great sketch and Stacy had a fun Tic-Tac-Toe challenge this month! For the Tic-Tac-Toe board I chose: Teal, Heart, Paint
Here’s Rochelle’s sketch and Stacy’s Tic-Tac-Toe board:
Here’s what I came up with:
I’m still working on scrapbooking our trip through Europe, but I’m moving on to documenting my next country: Slovakia! We loved our time spent in Bratislava and how relaxed the Slovakian culture seemed. I would love to go back and explore more of the country again!
If you would like to hear more about my trip to Europe, click the “Globetrotting” tab at the top and then select what country your interested in reading about! I scrapbook all my travels too so, check out my blog page and enjoy! 🙂
Ahh…Summertime is here! Or at least the start of some beautiful weather! I love summer because it allows me to spend time with my family at our lake house. There is no better place to be, in my opinion! 🙂
Here is our sketch from Stick It Down for the month of June! I absolutely loved this sketch! The triangular shapes are so unique!
Here was my take on the sketch! I turned the triangles into diamond shapes and moved the pictures to the center of the page. I felt that it drew my eye more centrally. Hopefully you like my take on it! 🙂
This page was about a day we spent in beautiful Ljubljana, Slovenia. It was a gorgeous city with so many neat things to see! If you’d like to hear about our time in the gorgeous country of Slovenia click here! If you’d like to hear about some other countries that I’ve travelled too (and scrapbooked!) you can click here or the “Globetrotting” tab above.
Thanks so much for swinging by my blog and taking a look at my designs! I hope you liked them! Feel free to comment below and tell me what you’ve been working on!
I stumbled across this fun sketch challenge from Scrap Our Stash this month and decided to play along! I guess one great thing about quarantining is I have more time to scrapbook! 🙂 I included some patterned paper with hearts in it as the background and then one heart embellishment at the top of the circle.
Here’s a look at the sketch and challenge requirements:
Here’s what I ended up creating:
I’m still trying to finish my Europe scrapbook before our lives turn upside down with a new baby in October! Haha! I am sooo excited for our new little bundle of joy to arrive, but I know that my scrapping time will probably decrease a bit. I’m trying to make the most of it right now 🙂
